What is Asthma & Allergies?

Asthma & Allergies – Ayurvedic treatment at Pure Aushadhi

Asthma is a long-term condition in which the airways become inflamed and narrow, causing wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness and cough — often worse at night, early morning, in cold weather or with dust and smoke. Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, blocked nose) frequently goes along with it.

Inhalers are important and should not be stopped. Ayurvedic treatment works alongside them to reduce airway sensitivity, clear mucus and strengthen immunity, so attacks may become less frequent and lighter over time.

The Ayurvedic view — Tamaka Shwasa

Asthma corresponds to Tamaka Shwasa, where Kapha obstructs the respiratory channels and pushes Vata in the wrong direction, causing breathlessness. Digestion plays a role — Ayurveda says Shwasa begins in the stomach — so treatment clears Kapha, calms Vata and improves Agni.
