What is Height & Growth (Children & Teens)?
Height is mainly decided by genetics, but nutrition, sleep, physical activity, hormones and overall health determine whether a child reaches their full potential. Growth happens until the growth plates in the bones close — usually around 16–18 years in girls and 18–21 in boys.
We want to be honest: no medicine can increase height after the growth plates have closed. For children and teenagers who are still growing, Ayurveda can support healthy development by improving appetite and absorption, strengthening bones, and correcting habits that hold growth back. For adults, we focus on posture and spine health.
The Ayurvedic view — Asthi Dhatu Poshana
Growth depends on healthy Agni and proper nourishment of all Dhatus, especially Asthi (bone) and Majja (marrow). Kapha supports growth and structure, while excess Vata from poor diet, stress and inadequate sleep can hinder it. Brimhana (nourishing) therapy and Rasayana support development.

Stages of Height & Growth (Children & Teens) & How Your Medicine Changes
We do not give every Height & Growth (Children & Teens) patient the same medicine. Your formulation, dose and therapies depend on the stage of the disease:
Childhood (5–10 years)
Slower growth, poor appetite or frequent illness.
Appetite and immunity support, balanced diet and active play.
Puberty (10–17 years)
Growth spurt years; short stature compared with peers.
Bone-nourishing Rasayana, nutrition plan, sleep and stretching/sports guidance.
After growth plates close
Adults or late teens with closed growth plates.
Height cannot increase; we focus on posture, spine health and bone density.
