What is Fatty Liver?
Fatty liver means excess fat has built up inside liver cells. It is often found on an ultrasound done for another reason and is graded 1 to 3. Non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD) is closely linked with weight gain, diabetes, high cholesterol and inactivity; alcohol-related fatty liver is linked with drinking.
In early grades the liver can recover well when the cause is addressed. Our treatment combines liver-supporting herbs with weight, sugar and cholesterol management, and we track progress with your liver function tests and ultrasound.
The Ayurvedic view — Yakrit Roga
Ayurveda relates fatty liver to Yakrit Roga with Meda (fat) accumulation, caused by Kapha and Pitta imbalance and weak Bhutagni (the liver's metabolic fire). Heavy, oily and sweet diet with little activity is the usual cause. Treatment kindles liver metabolism and reduces Meda.

Stages of Fatty Liver & How Your Medicine Changes
We do not give every Fatty Liver patient the same medicine. Your formulation, dose and therapies depend on the stage of the disease:
Grade 1
Mild fat on ultrasound, usually with normal or slightly raised enzymes.
Liver-supporting herbs with diet and activity changes — the best stage to reverse.
Grade 2
Moderate fat; enzymes often raised; may have diabetes or cholesterol.
Stronger hepato-protective and Meda-reducing formulations, plus metabolic control.
Grade 3 / Inflammation
Severe fat, high enzymes or early fibrosis.
Intensive supervised therapy alongside your physician's monitoring; detox only when safe.
