What is Hair Fall?

Hair Fall – Ayurvedic treatment at Pure Aushadhi

Losing 50–100 hairs a day is normal; more than that, visible thinning, a widening parting or bald patches suggest a problem. Hair fall can come from nutritional deficiency, thyroid or PCOD, stress, dandruff, illness, or genetic pattern baldness.

Oils and shampoos alone rarely solve it. We identify the type and cause of hair loss first, then combine internal medicines with scalp treatments so that the hair that grows back is stronger.

The Ayurvedic view — Khalitya / Indralupta

Ayurveda relates hair to Asthi Dhatu (bone tissue). Excess Pitta reaching the scalp, together with Vata, weakens the roots — described as Khalitya (hair fall) and Indralupta (patchy loss). Treatment cools Pitta, nourishes the Dhatus and improves scalp health.

Stages of Hair Fall & How Your Medicine Changes

We do not give every Hair Fall patient the same medicine. Your formulation, dose and therapies depend on the stage of the disease:

1

Excess Shedding

Signs

Increased hair fall for a few months but hair density mostly normal.

Our approach

Nutritional and Pitta-balancing herbs, medicated oil and scalp care; usually responds quickly.

2

Visible Thinning

Signs

Reduced volume, wider parting or receding front.

Our approach

Longer internal course with Rasayana, Nasya where suitable and targeted scalp therapy.

3

Patchy / Advanced Loss

Signs

Bald patches or long-standing pattern baldness.

Our approach

Intensive local treatments with internal immune and hormone balancing; regrowth goals are discussed honestly.

Our Ayurvedic Treatment for Hair Fall

  1. Scalp examination and history (diet, hormones, stress)
  2. Internal medicines for nutrition and Pitta balance
  3. Customised hair oil and herbal hair wash
  4. Nasya (nasal oil) therapy where suitable
  5. Diet and lifestyle plan with monthly review

Herbs commonly used

Neelibhringadi Taila
Traditional cooling hair oil

Exact herbs and doses are chosen by the Vaidya for your stage and body type. Please don't self-medicate.
