What is Eczema?
Eczema (atopic or contact dermatitis) makes the skin dry, itchy and inflamed. In some people the patches ooze and crust; in others they become thick, dark and leathery from repeated scratching. It is common on the hands, inner elbows, behind the knees, neck and face, and often runs alongside allergies or asthma.
Because eczema is driven by skin-barrier weakness, allergy and internal imbalance together, we treat all three: soothing medicines for the skin, internal herbs for the blood and digestion, and identifying the soaps, foods or stresses that keep it active.
The Ayurvedic view — Vicharchika
Ayurveda describes eczema as Vicharchika, a Kshudra Kushtha caused mainly by Kapha and Pitta. Kapha produces itching and oozing, Pitta adds burning and redness, and Vata causes dryness and cracking in long-standing cases. Identifying the dominant dosha decides the medicine.

This is not a diagnosis. Only a doctor can confirm your stage and the right medicine.

Stages of Eczema & How Your Medicine Changes
We do not give every Eczema patient the same medicine. Your formulation, dose and therapies depend on the stage of the disease:
Acute (Wet)
Red, oozing, itchy patches that appeared recently.
Cooling, drying herbs internally and herbal washes to settle the oozing; strict avoidance of triggers.
Sub-acute
Patches are drier with crusting and scaling; itching continues.
Blood-purifying medicines with soothing medicated oils to rebuild the skin barrier.
Chronic (Dry, Thick)
Dark, leathery, cracked skin present for months or years.
Deeper detox where appropriate, internal ghee preparations and nourishing oils to soften and restore the skin.
